Choosing Your Fencing

24th Nov 2022

Monton Fencing is one of the largest suppliers of fencing in the Northwest, helping many happy customers choose the right fencing for their needs.

Fencing comes in a variety of styles and types, each offering different advantages according to purpose. As well as the main purpose you need your fencing to fulfil, you will also need to be aware of any height restrictions on fencing panels applicable in your area.

WHAT ARE YOUR PRIORITIES?

Privacy

You may like to consider Pressure Treated Overlap fencing panels or Golden Dipped fencing panels. If noise is an issue in your area, the thicker Feather Edge panels or Treated Close Board panels are constructed from heavier timber and will provide some element of noise-reduction.

Security

A trellis-topped or trellis fence is almost impossible to climb over as it will collapse under a person’s weight. The noise and damage this would cause can deter opportunists. Coupling a trellis with a prickly climbing plant (such as a rose) adds an additional obstacle. If security is a key concern, you may also wish to explore our range of gates. We have a range of Fence Panels which are ideal to act as wind breaks to allow an element of wind to pass through and reduce the vortex effect that a solid panel would generate; our European and hit an miss panels are well suited for this purpose.

Noise-Reduction

The supreme overlay panel is probably the most solidly constructed fence panel we offer, it muffles noise where the source originates below the panel and provides added longevity due to its heavy duty nature.

Visual Appeal

By shopping at a specialist fencing panel supplier you have the opportunity to build the fence that reflects your particular requirements and complements your house and garden. Whether it be via loose timber, concrete, european type panels or timber fence panels.
